All facilities are for the use of members only and all residents are members. There are many active organizations and other recreational facilities to serve the various interests of residents.

  Governance

The Lake Kiowa Property Owners Association, Inc. (LKPOA) is a private membership association incorporated under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act and is operated under the provisions of this act, restrictive covenants, bylaws, and the rules and policies approved by the Board of Directors. Lot owners are automatically members of the Association.

An elected, nine members Board of Directors governs Lake Kiowa. A Community Manager conducts the community’s daily affairs in accordance with the deed restrictions, bylaws, and the rules and policies approved by the Board of Directors.

  Services

A full-time Security Department provides the community 24-hour services. They man the gated front entrance, patrol the lake and grounds, enforce LKPOA rules, provide animal control, and furnish a variety of services to individual residents and the association.

A full-time Maintenance Department maintains the association’s roads, common property, facilities and equipment.

Fire and emergency medical assistance is provided by the Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

Bagged or boxed household trash, garbage, lawn clippings and leaves are collected weekly by an independent contractor. Bulky items are picked up by individual agreement with the contractor. The Association organizes spring and fall cleanups each year and provides special services during these times.

All utility services are primarily underground. Cooke County Electric Co-op provides electric service, and Southwestern Bell provides phone service. The Lake Kiowa Special Utility District (LKSUD)  supplies water, and cable TV service is also available.
